Global Grant Program
SMALL GRANTS, SIGNIFICANT REACH

Areas of focus:
Exploration & Conservation, Poverty Alleviation, Community & Culture

Kensington’s Global Grant Program extends our impact to support more of the people, places, and ecosystems that make travel meaningful.
Through one-time $10,000 grants, the Global Grant Program funds organizations whose work reflects Kensington's values of sustainability, curiosity, and care. Each recipient is nominated by our stakeholders (employees, suppliers, clients, and travel partners) and chosen for their measurable impact in Poverty Alleviation, Exploration and Conservation, and Culture and Community. In FY25, a total of $40,000 was awarded to four remarkable organizations working across the globe.
Galápagos Conservancy
Galápagos Conservancy is a U.S.-based nonprofit dedicated exclusively to protecting and restoring the Galápagos Islands, home to more than 2,000 species found nowhere else on Earth. Our grant supports the Iniciativa Galápagos Program, providing laboratory equipment and materials essential to rewild endangered species and recover fragile ecosystems. This funding enables advanced ecological research that fills critical knowledge gaps and informs long-term conservation strategies to prevent irreversible loss.
Cambodia Rural Students Trust
Cambodia Rural Students Trust empowers rural youth to break the cycle of poverty through education. Entirely managed by senior students, CRST provides scholarships, training, and life skills to gifted students from low-income families. Our grant funds three initiatives: a water filtration system to provide clean drinking water in schools, a Mobile Bike Mechanic Program to maintain student bicycles, and sponsorship for one university student. These programs help students stay in school and become leaders within their communities.
Plastic Bank
Plastic Bank transforms the fight against ocean plastic pollution into a force for social good. Through its 1 Million Bottles Impact Program, our support funds the verified collection and removal of 20,000 kilograms of plastic waste across 45 communities in Egypt. This initiative not only prevents ocean plastic but also provides a steady income, education, and social benefits to local collectors, demonstrating how circular economies can uplift entire communities.
Trees for Life
In the Scottish Highlands, Trees for Life restores native forests and supports biodiversity while strengthening local livelihoods. Our funding supports the Dundreggan Tree Nursery, which grows rare and ecologically vital species for rewilding efforts. The grant purchases and provides funding for equipment and seasonal staffing to produce 80,000 new trees, revitalizing the native Caledonian forest and mitigating climate impacts. Visitors can experience the benefits of rewilding at Dundreggan Rewilding Centre.
Together, these four projects represent the spirit of the Global Grant Program: small grants with significant reach, turning shared values into tangible change across continents.
